  Local Food Council

The Local Food Council, whose membership includes area farmers, processors, distributors, institutional buyers, agricultural experts, civic leaders, and Kenyon faculty and students, guides Food for Thought. Formed in 2004, the group meets quarterly to address issues related to the project, providing a special opportunity for interaction among individuals at all points of the food system and a unique point of contact between Kenyon and area residents.

The Local Food Council is incorporated by the State of Ohio and operates under a code of regulations. Constituting itself in this manner ensures stability for the project over time, broadens the base of support for our activities, and establishes legal status for fundraising and other initiatives associated with Food for Thought.
